TERMS & CONDITIONS

Membership is open to individuals over 18 years old who:

Own immovable property in the Area.
Lease immovable property in the Area.
Operate a business in the Area.
Are foreign nationals with property ownership or leasing rights in the Area.
Lead non-political voluntary organisations aligned with Union objectives.
Represent bodies corporate with individual membership of over 50% owners in a share block/sectional title scheme.
Individuals from other Areas deemed beneficial to the Union by the committee.

The following are not eligible for membership:

Local government managerial employees.
Serving councilors or ward representatives, regardless of political affiliation.
Political associations or parties, irrespective of IEC registration.

The Union disclaims involvement in personal disputes with the municipality but provides legal advice and support for billing and service matters.
By signing, members agree to the Union’s constitution and rules, subject to amendments.
Members consent to the Union’s use and disclosure of personal information in accordance with legal requirements.
The Union will ensure the security and confidentiality of personal information as per the Protection of Personal Information Act.
Liability disclaimer applies to damages arising from membership.

Intellectual property and confidential information remain Union property.

Unlawful or invalid terms will be severed, leaving the remaining conditions enforceable.
